Chairman’s Welcome
Hilary welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Minutes of the last meeting
These were read, agreed and signed.

Matters Arising
Cards and gifts had been distributed as agreed. Nick had looked into the liability insurance for ‘The Players’ and it was agreed that the current policy is sufficient at present.

Correspondence
Hilary had received a letter from Christopher Walliker about the Chideock Magazine. It was no longer to be the Symondsbury and Chideock Parish Magazine and in its new format as the Chideock Magazine there was a short fall in funds from advertising. All groups in the village were asked to contribute a minimum of £15.00. This was agreed and Natalie will send payment.

Hilary had received a letter from West Dorset District Council to say that if we wished our ticket sales to go through the Tourist Information Centre there would be a charge of 10% commission on sales. It was agreed that we were unlikely to use this method.

Treasurer’s Report
Natalie had received a letter from NODA to say that their banding system for subscriptions had changed. Luckily for ‘The Players’ it is in our favour and the subscription is now £50.00 per year.

There is £1278.99 in the Treasurers Account and £50.00 cash making a grand total of £1339.04
The November production of ‘The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of Macbeth’ made a profit of £383.88

Spring Production
The Spring Production is a play entitled ‘Sand Castles’ by Bob Larbey and is to be directed by Nick Baker. It is now cast and rehearsals are underway.

Jane Tamone will do costumes, Nick the lights, Diana will prompt, Catherine publicity, Natalie will do the box office and Myrtle the teas and front of house.

Tickets will cost £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for full time students and the under 16’s

The after show party will be at the Clock House pub unless they are having a noisy night with music etc.

AGM
This will be on the 4th July.

Pantomime
This will take place on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th November. The script written by Moira is now finished.

Any Other Business
Summer Party – Jane has kindly agreed to host the party at her house in Seatown. It will be on the
7th July.

Chideock Fete – The fete committee have asked if ‘The Players’ would help run some stalls at the fete to be held on the 28th July. It was agreed that it would be a good way of promoting the pantomime.

Herbert Winter cup – Some thought would have to be given as to the recipient.

Newsletters – Catherine will send out a Spring Newsletter to let members know all the forthcoming event dates. Another newsletter will go out in May to give details the voting slip for the AGM and booking slip for the pantomime.

Social – It was agreed that we would book two rows of seats to see ‘Allo Allo’ in Lyme Regis for who ever wishes to attend.

Lyme Regis Drama Group is holding a murder mystery night with food on the 31st March.

Jane, Hilary and Catherine will have a clear out of the dressing room on the 14th April.

Date of Next Meeting
This will be on the 10th May at Nick and Hilary’s house in Chideock.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 2120hrs. Diana was thanked for her hospitality.
