were read, agreed and signed.
Matters Arising
The Christmas dinner is now booked for the 1st December. The price etc.
is the same as last year except it will now be a buffet. Catherine will
send a letter out at the end of September advertising this and also the
November production.
Correspondence
Catherine had received confirmation from Daphne Zaiger that bingo dates
have been changed to enable the November production to go ahead.
Letter from Sarah letting us know how she is getting on in New Zealand.
Treasurers Report
It was decided that we wouldn’t set a president with gifts for various
members of a production as this eats too much into the profits. Discussion
followed as to whether or not the ticket prices were too low. It was decided
that a minimum of £5.00 would be charged. We could save on the cost
of programmes by Jane type-setting them on Publisher.
The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic
Society’s Production of Macbeth
Preparations are well under way. A working party will meet on the 23rd
September to do stage work and clear up the back stage area.
Sue Pettifer will be asked if she will run the box office and the Spar
Shop and Clock Pub be asked to sell the tickets.
The WI will be approached to do Front of House and Catherine is the publicity
officer.
Lighting – some would have to be hired.
Costumes – Jane asked that the cast get basic parts of their costumes
themselves.
