AGM at The Village Hall, Chideock on 8th June 1976

With reference to the proposed Gymkana - this was held in Sept and was a great success - Profit £88.

Social Secretary, Mrs R Newman reported that Car Treasure Hunt had 12 cars taking part. The dinner at West Mead attended by 38 members was a great success.

Bridport & District Arts Soc. Rep, Mrs T Higham reported funds were needed and affiliated drama groups asked to raise money. It was regretted that drama festival would clash with our own production, so would be unable to participate.

Mrs Folley stated that she regretted having to relinquish job as floor manager but that she was willing to train Mrs Chattin.

Mr Fussell stated that his wife wished to resign from dealing with bookings. Mrs Fussell was trying to find replacement. Mr Chattin asked if the lights could now be moved to the roof above the hall. Mr Newman replied that it was a difficult job involving putting a cat walk the length of the hall, moving the cables and fixing the spot lights. He asked if this could be done as soon as possible and asked if the stage ceiling could be moved at the same time. Mrs Newman also suggested that it would be a good thing for him to train person for the responsible job of working the lights.
